WHO WE ARE

The Community Services for the Disadvantaged is an Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) and is a registered Charity #492 founded in 2001 which is working in various communities to eradicate poverty in society, locally, regionally and internationally.

OUR MISSION:

To Service You to The Best of Our Ability.

WHAT WE DO

We are at present assisting families who find it difficult to care for members of their households, particularly children, the elderly and those that are challenged through financial contributions or in any way we can assist. Over the past years, we have provided household items, groceries medical supplies, house repairs, transportation services, conducted meal-on wheels feeding programmes, family assistance, educational programmes, assisting fire victims, etc. Our project for 2017 is entitled:  

“Building a stronger and better future by uniting communities ”.

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS:

  • Provide meals to shut-ins (elderly & disabled).

  • Find homes / housing for the homeless.

  • Provide domestic help for the elderly & disabled.

  • Provide a summer camp for children with terminal illnesses.

  • Provide youth with information regarding social issues such as HIV / AIDS, family planning, skills, training, ETC.

  • Assist families on welfare / working poor with assistance.

  • Providing family counselling on drugs, household management, debt counselling, etc.

  • Homework assistance / lessons for kids.

The Names of the Department/Division and the Role Responsibilities:

  1. City Area - Community Home Affairs : Rural Development Commission - Out of town - Country areas | Urban Development Commission - Residential areas out of city | National Employment Bureau, Community Development, Environmental Project Department,  International Affairs Commission and Home Family Assistance Disaster Response Management .

  2. National Cultural Affairs: Sports Programs, Entertainment Culture Revival and Workshop of Culture Programs.

  3. National Senior and Junior Council: National Assistance Service Community  and Togetherness Group.

  4. Education Technology Energy / Environment: Skills Training Board, Environmental Protection Department, Information Technology & Educational Programs and Educational Project Implementation Unity.

  5. National Disabilities Commission: Special Education Care Unit,  National Programs, Medical Assisting Board, Early Childhood Development, Find Employment, Blind & Visually Impaired for persons with disabilities.
